COVID-19: The “WHO” World Health Organization declared COVID 19 over as a global health Emergency. However, that does not mean COVID 19 is over as a global health threat.

Single Parents

Beginning January 2022 – A new program for single parents in Sault Ste. Marie.

On a monthly basis we will be providing single parents with some respite time from their children by providing childcare services and programs for the parents. While the parent is interacting with other parents, we introduce seniors who may provide advice on such topics as budgeting, shopping, cooking, life planning and friendship. Our goal is to provide support, wisdom and knowledge of those with experience, friendship and “down” time for our single parents in the community. Our program provides educated childcare providers with the children in our nursery and classroom facilities, on the same level. We will provide a healthy meal for children and parents. Consider it a day/evening off where you, as a single parent may enjoy the company of other like parents.

This program was to begin January 2021 but has been delayed by one year because of the pandemic. We will very closely monitor the COVID-19 conditions and restrictions before proceeding. We retain the right to require that adult participants have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine to be admitted to the in-person program, as conditions may require.

Registration forms will be available on this website at a later date. Numbers may need to be restricted. If enough interest is shown through registration, a second session per month may be introduced.
