COVID-19: The “WHO” World Health Organization declared COVID 19 over as a global health Emergency. However, that does not mean COVID 19 is over as a global health threat.
Pastor Gabriel Araba served 14 months with UBC as an Interim Pastor beginning November 2019. In an overwhelming vote of support, the church family cast ballots in October 2019 to hire Pastor Gabriel in a full time position as our pastor.
Message from Pastor Gabriel Araba:
Our church culture and lifestyle says it all… We are sharing God’s Love everywhere.
Loving God is trusting him absolutely. It is believing that His word is true and giving no room for doubting. Like little children depend on their parents for everything, so we must rely on God. “Cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you”. 1 Peter 5:7. Love is more meaningful when it’s reciprocated. God already loves us; how then can we show God that we love Him?
First, we must acknowledge Him in every detail of our lives, be thankful for everything happening in our lives, good or not so good. Remember that He makes all things to work together for the good of them that love Him and are then called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Finally, we must do our very best to study and know what His word says about issues of life, believe His perspective from His word, and obey it. He said “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” (John 14: verse 15 and 18). Loving Him should be with all of our heart, soul and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5). Please understand that obeying God is not for nothing, it is to our benefit. Deuteronomy 28:1-13 highlights the blessings of obedience. See verse 1 to 3 for starters; “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.” I trust that you have been blessed. Always remember that you are loved by God. We love you and welcome to the United Baptist Church.

Lorraine Smith has served UBC for many years as minister of music, choir director, organist and pianist. Lorraine is versatile, able to provide contemporary and familiar classic songs and music to the worship service.
Teni Araba ministers to us with her God given vocal talents and music leadership in tandem with Loraine. UBC is blessed to have Teni join our Ministry Team.
Sandra Lyons leads our Sunday School Ministry Team. Although she does not wish to be considered the General Superintendent of Sunday School, which is just a mere title, Sandra has developed a ministry program for our young students using the Superbook Academy videos, which she prepares and provides the lessons on a weekly basis.
Is available to provide a child friendly, welcoming environment where children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 may learn about God and Jesus Christ, His Son, using Superbook Academy videos, which bring stories to life from the Old and New Testaments.
